Scary Movie 4

So bad its good

Stupidest movie ever: Scary movie 4 produced by David Zucker. Scary movie 4 is one of the “best” movies made and for the strangest reasons. From having no common sense, crazy amounts of irony, stacked actors roster, themes, and the concerning plots. To end with a crazy plot twist and perhaps let’s say a “heartwarming” moment. Scary movie 4 is probably one of the worst, best, idiotic, confusing, movies ever produced. However, not only the 4th one is bad but the whole series including 5 other movies is equally concerning.

The themes in this movie vary in many different ways. Our first major theme is the parody of classic horror movies like War of the Worlds, The Grudge, Saw, the village, and also including alien invasions. Another theme is the Sci-Fi in the movie due to all the strange extraterrestrial creatures in this movie and the weird supernatural events. Personally, my favorite theme is the social satire starring in this movie considering that the whole movie is mocking films that are overly “dramatic”. Lastly, the film relies on absurd, physical, and most often vulgar humor/jokes. For example the parody is shown by having characters made to be a copy from another movie. The aliens and supernatural creatures represent the sci-fi theme. The movie also depends on vulgar humor/ jokes I can’t possibly explain.

This movie is a pg-13 movie. In my opinion I think it does qualify for that rating because it’s mostly inappropriate rather than truly scary. According to sources the movie does include sexual humor, comic violence, gore, and bad language but it's considered moderate. Personally, I didn’t find the movie scary or disturbing. However, I would  be careful watching it with younger kids (DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR KIDS) due to the nudity and mature jokes that take place in this movie. 

The irony is the best part of this movie. The amount of irony in this movie can compare to the amount of stars in the galaxy due to how much verbal, dramatic, and situational irony there is. This movie de-escalate so fast to the point where it’s kinda ridiculous. For example, one minute someone was taking care of an elderly lady and was giving her a bath and then seconds later the camera turns to the water source and we see the sponge being drenched in pee. Another example is when we experience a boxing match between Mike Tyson and another person and somehow at the end of the fight everyone got their ears bitten off and half of the people there broke their necks.

In summary, Scary movie 4 is a next level stupidity creation made by wonderful Zucker. The humor carries the movie although it can be over the top and the most random actor roster making it 10x better. The themes and plots not even a physicist could predict. Finally, the  types of feelings you feel throughout this movie vary from confusion and concern to even more confused and concerned. If you want a really funny, weird, goofy, interesting movie I recommend this. Go watch the other movies because the whole series is a 10/10.
