Futbol to Football No Difference Right? 

Dear Viewers,

Ted Lasso season 1 directed by Tom Marshall, is a TV show that rises above and beyond any other. The first season is an adventure unlike other show. Tom Marshall has directed many TV superstars besides Ted Lasso, including Upload. Jason Sudeikis (playing Ted Lasso) is so funny and is in many comedies, like Angry Birds, and We’re the Millers. This show's comedy is incredible, incorporating a little bit of soccer. Ted Lasso is about a middle aged man named Ted Lasso (Jason Sudeikis). Ted was a coach at Wichita State University for football and went on to being a professional futbol coach at AFC Richmond. After a rough divorce, Rebecca Walton purposely hired Ted to destroy the team, to make her ex husband mad. Even after losing important pieces of the team, the coaching staff turns around the ball club despite getting relegated.

Jason Sudeikis takes this comedy show to another level. As an example, he makes fun of himself in his own dad jokes. Furthermore, Ted knows nothing about futbol which makes it even more funny. Ted and the assistant coach (Coach Beard) travel halfway across the world, from Kansas to South East London. Ted doesn’t even know the basic rules, or even how to play futbol.  For example, Ted just arrives at AFC Richmond and says, “go out there and give you everything you got for all four quarters.” This shows that Ted knows nothing about futbol because in futbol they play two halves instead of 4 quarters.

Ted goes from football to fútbol. This TV show’s popularity has gone up so much that it’s even in a soccer video game as its own team. There is a team called AFC Richmond with real characters from the seasons. Ted Lasso has also won many awards. Ted Lasso season 1 won 7 outstanding comedy awards! Also, Jason Sudeikis won the Golden Globes and Best Actor at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. Everyone who has watched this can understand why. Ted Lasso is unable to be put in words because of its elegance and exquisite cast. The show displays what it is like to be a futbol coach in the English Premier League. Also, Ted Lasso displays some hardship, as Ted and Rebecca are both going through divorce. Meanwhile, two of the best players on the team, Roy and Jamie go through some tough times as Jamie ends up leaving the team due to money reasons.

In my heart I would give this ten soccer balls out of ten. This is the funniest show that has ever been put on television. Danny Rojas (Played by Cristo Fernandez) is the funniest character I have ever seen! He runs around laughing and playing, saying his slogan; “futbol is life!” Ted Lasso picks up people in the deepest, darkest, and saddest times of the year, or the happiest. Ted Lasso has a little bit of sports and a lot of comedy.

Ted Lasso is all about perseverance, trust and loyalty. Season 1 really displays grit and determination from Ted. For example, Ted has never coached futbol before so he perseveres through the media and other factors. Also, loyalty. Many of his players like Danny Rojas are loyal to him and respect his decionsions. Even through failure, they insist there is always next year. Ted never gives up and trusts in the staff and players that they will be a successful team together.

In the last episode The Hope That Kills You, Ted and the team were tied at half time. Ted gave an inspirational halftime speech and the team ended up tying the game with little time left. In the end, Manchester City scored and AFC Richmond got relegated. At this point in the season you feel such affection for AFC Richmond. Afterward, Ted went to Rebeccas office thinking he will get fired but Rebecca wants him to stay and coach next season.

Finally, the theme of Ted Lasso season 1 is to never give up. The team started with a bad record but bounced back shortly after. Ted could have quit early, but he didn’t give up, stayed away from his family, and truly dedicated his life to the team. The players really accepted Ted and it is such a feel-good show to watch. Also, after losing Jamie Tarrt, the team's best player, they still found a way to play together and be great without their superestar. By the last episode you really feel connected with the team, and you feel like you are part of AFC Richmond. 

Following season 1, there are 2 more seasons to follow Ted Lasso. After you watch season 1 it will surely be hard to resist avoiding season 2 of Ted Lasso.
