A really great movie that I really liked is F1 The Movie. I would rate F1 The Movie a 4.5 stars because it was almost perfect, but it could have been more intense especially during the racing.  I would recommend this movie to everyone but especially anyone above the age of ten because there are some cuss words throughout the movie. The genre of  F1 The Movie is action because it is about action on the race track. 

F1 The Movie involves the star Brad Pitt as Formula 1 racer Sonny Hayes, a 1990s star who crashed and did not race for years. Sonny Hayes came back to racing to mentor the rising star Joshua Pearce who is very arrogant and wants attention rather than having pride in racing. Sonny Hayes comes back with his aggressive racing style. No one believed it would work out, a rising star and a former star with an aggressive racing style. During a race, everyone told Joshua Pierce to wait for the straight, but he went ahead and went for the lead. Joshua took it, but he lost control of the car. The tires slipped. He crashed with fire everywhere, and the car flipped. Sonny Hayes got out of his race car and ran into the fire and pulled Joshua Pierce out, but he was unconscious. Eventually, Joshua recovered and raced again. The big race started at dawn with Sonny Hayes and Joshua Pierce, a duo of the century trailing with two laps.  Sonny Hayes holds off Lewis Hamilton, so the rising star Joshua Pierce goes for the win. Hamilton catches him. They bump cars and go out of bounds. Sonny Hayes takes the lead with one lap to go. Sonny Hayes wins the race, and everyone cheers for him. 

The producer introduced Brad Pitt as Sonny Hayes. Sonny Hayes was introduced as the best racer of the 1990s, and was offered to come back even though his last race ended in a crash. I think that I connected with the main character throughout this movie because he is funny and there is not much you could hate about him. Sonny Hayes was a good teacher for Joshua Pierce. I also liked how he stood up for what he believed in when he told Joshua Pierce to not care so much about the fan’s attention that being a good racer is more important. 

Something I would change about this movie is that they did not include the racer’s point of view until the end. If they would have shown more of this while they were racing, it would be a more interactive movie. There was too much point of view from the pit and not enough of the racers point of view in the cars. The audience could feel like they were in the car. I would also change the way that the young star was so eager for attention from cameras which made him hard to like.

 My first impressions were that F1 was going to be a movie exactly like the real F1 racing. When the movie ended, it was better than real racing because it was more about the people driving and less about the race itself. This movie is similar to other movies Brad Pitt was in, like the movie series Oceans because his character has the same personality. The ending of the movie was satisfying because Sonny Hayes had to deal with Joshua Pierce. Joshua Pierce thought he knew everything, and he thought he was the best at racing. The movie shows the theme that being a focused racer, and showing pride in racing is better than being just a fan favorite. So that’s why it was satisfying because Sonny Hayes won the race. I watched F1 in the movie theater and at home. I have seen F1 three times. I would highly recommend F1.
