Madison Beer's pop breakthrough album is here, and it's amazing.
🧊🧊🧊🧊🧊 5 out out 5 ice cubes
Madison Beer has just released her 3rd studio album Locket and you need to hear it. It brings emotional tracks as well as edm vibes that will keep interest throughout the whole album. Before you know it Madison Beer is going to sweep the world with her music.
This album is a blend of her previous albums. Madison Beer has released 2 studio albums before. Life support in 2021 and silence between songs in 2023. Life support had deep full edm sounds whereas silence between songs had more emotional airy vibes. Locket has mixes of those two vibes which makes it a perfect blend. Because Madison Beer has done albums and tours before she isn’t a newbie at the music industry. Soon Madison Beer is gonna be in the big leagues with stars like Taylor swift and Sabrina carpenter.
Locket has a 12 song perfect track list. The first song on Locket “ Locket theme” is a short 40 sec song that is this album in a nutshell. It talks about how emotions can sometimes feel like they are all trapped in a Locket “pain on a necklace”. Next up is yes baby. Yes baby was the last single released for Locket; it has a dance track vibe that really brings Locket to life. Bad enough is the most popular song on Locket. It talks about a toxic relationship where you aren’t at the breaking point yet and are thinking about breaking up “is it bad enough to let my baby go”. Her song healthy habit is a happy romantic song about her boyfriend Justin Herbert. She talks about her romantic relationship with him and always missing him while she’s on tour or he’s playing football “ like standing in the kitchen and romanticizing you”. “Make You Mine” is my favorite song on the album. It is a mix of dance track and emotion. Those are the highlights of the track list.
Lockets listening age is about 12+ it has some more adult centered topics like relationships and some sexual things. It does not have any bad words but is a bit more adult.
Locket was written by Madison Beer and was co-produced with Leroy Clampitt, One Love, and Lost Boy.
I have listened to Locket 12 times all the way through and every time I listen to it I notice something different. It is hard to get bored because all the songs have a different vibe to them.
Throughout Locket the lyrics Madison Beer writes Changes. She wrote the first half of this album during her 2024 Spinnin Tour. During the tour she was going through a hard breakup which was reflected in the first half of the album with themes of sadness and contemplation. The second half of the album which was written after the tour reflects her new relationship with Justin Herbert. She talks about love, happiness, and feeling good. She writes about how strong she is and how she recovered from the pain of a breakup.
Madison Beer made 4 music videos for Locket. The first one released is Make You Mine, a Grammy nominated song that is so fun to listen to. The music video goes well with the song. The music video shows scenes of her at her house hanging out in her bed. Madison Beer also did a music video for yes baby which shows scenes at a gym. Bittersweet which shows a breakup. Finally bad enough which tells the story of Madison Beer dating a creature that hurts her but she loves which is an analogy for a previous relationship she was in.
The theme of Locket. Locket has huge themes of breakup, relationships, happiness, and love. It tells a story of being in a relationship then getting to breaking point and eventually breaking up. Later in the album it has themes of happiness, falling in love again. The story of love changes and evolves throughout the album. It shows different sides of Madison Beer throughout her life.
Madison Beer's album is really an amazing story that needs listening.
