Dear readers,

     Have you been searching for the perfect show to watch, but you just can’t find it? Well look no further. I am writing to you about Gilmore Girls, one of the most amazing tv shows that I have ever seen. It is heartwarming, exciting and it will keep you on your toes anxiously awaiting to figure out what happens next.

     Gilmore Girls is a show about the dynamic duo mother Lorelai Gilmore played by Lauren Graham and daughter Rory Gilmore played by Alexis Bedel. Lorelai had her daughter Rory at age 16 and they’ve been best friends since. This show takes us through all of the aspects of their daily lives, romantic relationships, work and friendship.

     Gilmore Girls is rated TV-14 although I think that it is appropriate for 12 and 13 year olds to watch especially if they watch it with a parent. I watch Gilmore Girls with my mom and it is a very relatable and fun show for us to watch together. It has brought us so much closer. Gilmore Girls has become a thing that we have to make time for and is a very good moment for us to be together and put aside our busy schedules. If you are a mom who wants to spend more time with your daughter or even a daughter who wants to spend time with your mom this show is perfect for you.

     Gilmore Girls dives deep into the themes of relationships,family, and single parenting, it takes us through everyone’s emotions and what they are going through on the inside. It’s so heartwarming and it can go from deep to happy and it’s never too much or too less of either. 

     Gilmore Girls shows all of the viewers that you don’t always have to be perfect, you will not always have a good day and that is ok.

Furthermore, it  shows that relationships aren’t always perfect either. Even though Rory and Lorelai rarely get into fights Lorelai and her parents do. Lorelai and her parents have a very difficult relationship because she was a rebellious child, she also had a daughter at age 16 and shut her parents out of her and her daughters life after that  for a very long time.

     Gilmore Girls also teaches us lessons and even how to behave. Lorelai and Rory make a lot of mistakes but always learn from them. Sometimes they hurt people's feelings or make a mistake but always learn from it and can find a way to fix it.

     Rory and Lorelai have an amazingly strong friendship even though Rory went off to college. She still talks to her mom more than twice a week whether that be a call or a visit. She has such a tight relationship with her mom that she calls her from college on her first night and says "I cannot do this alone, I need my mommy and I don’t care who knows it.” (Rory Gilmore, Gilmore Girls). This shows how much Rory cares and relies on her mom and how strong that connection is. Aside from Rory and Lorelai, this show has a lot of different friendships and it is very fun to watch as those friendships grow and change. For example, Rory and her best friend (besides her mom) Lane have been friends for forever and have a very tight bond, they help each other through all of their struggles. Lorelai and her very close friend, the owner of a diner that Lorelai and Rory go to almost every day named Luke, have also been friends for a very long time. They go through so much together and have a very tight bond. For example Lorelai helped Luke so much when he was going through a divorce, Luke helped Lorelai greatly when she decided that she didn’t want to get married the night of her wedding and it shows us how amazing friendships can be.

     Gilmore Girls always keeps you very intrigued and there is never a dull moment.

Even the first episode starts off with some drama when Rory gets into a new  

school that Lorelai can’t afford. The show goes through Rory’s academics in a private  high school and college at Yale but it also takes us through her dating life. The show also takes us through Lorelai’s dating life, while also her work life while trying to open an inn with her friend Sukie, while raising Rory all at the same time. 

       This show also has something special that sets it apart from other shows. The setting of Gilmore Girls is a small town in Connecticut called Stars Hollow. Something about the small town makes it so much better partly because everyone knows everyone and that is very sweet but also anyone will do anything for each other and they’ve all known everyone in the town for their whole lives. It’s also partly the places that make you feel like you were there. For example, Luke’s diner it’s the town's favorite and where almost everyone eats all of their meals, there is also the inn, the dance studio, the school and much more. Throughout the show you really get to know and love all of the town.

     Gilmore girls is the best show  that I have ever seen because of all of the little things that make up the show. It’s heartwarming, heartbreaking, comedic, and exciting, it has a setting, and shows us that life’s not always perfect. All of those things are what sets Gilmore Girls apart from the rest to make it the best show I’ve ever seen.
