Follow you passion
(The Rookie)
(⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 rating must watch)
Dear viewers,
It takes a certain amount of skill to create a show about a 40-year-old man starting over from scratch; however, Alexi Hawley the executive producer made The Rookie perfect without a doubt. And no one better have second thoughts on it. If you are looking for an addicting, intense, humorous, and crime solving show this is for you. You don’t know cop shows until you watch The Rookie.
Ok I am not actually the right age to watch The Rookie but I still do. Even though The Rookie does say the age range is 13 plus, a mature 12-year-old or 11-year-old is fine to watch; nevertheless, it depends on your parents and if you get scared by violence or not. For instance, I am 12 and I love it so much it is my top favorite show, ever.
Generally The Rookie is based on an ironic story. John Nolan, the main character, is 40 years old. He literally had to start his whole career from scratch he left where he used to live he has to go through training again. As a result of changing careers he had to begin at the bottom of the ranks. In addition, he was put in an unusual position of being a newbie to supporting commanding officers half his age.
The theme in The Rookie is never giving up on your dreams, starting over, and second chances. Nolan shows all of these things throughout the whole show. In addition, Nolan is not the only person throughout the show, several other people in the show fit these themes. As well as that Nolan had some pressure because people assumed that he was older he couldn’t do it and he wanted to prove them all wrong. Furthermore, this show strongly hints that it is never too late to switch careers and to follow your dreams, just like Nolan did.
Even though Nolan is the main character there are multiple other characters who give support and amazing characteristics to his life and personality. Nolan has created a whole new family and friends within his station, all these people add humor, seriousness sometimes, and fun to the show. His friends Lucy Chen, and Jackson West, are his friends since the beginning of training school and have stayed together throughout all their challenges.
In most cases rookies are supposed to be young, not old. Nolan does not fit into these cases, he is literally the opposite of young like he is as old as his boss and boss’s boss. Additionally he also is older than all the other Rookies and his training officers. To mention Nolan’s age just adds a certain joy to the show, watching a 40 year old cop get his leg stuck in a fence trying to catch someone is funny.
I would recommend this show to anyone who enjoys watching action packed scenes, with humor, but still staying intense, and entertaining. I personally love this show because it is funny yet still very interesting and does not bore me like other shows i’ve watched before. It has so much detail and shows all the scenes so well, the suspense is insane. I almost searched up so I would know what would happen next.
Best regards,
Lila Marwan
