Squid game 2 is more than worth your time to watch. Ever since the creator of the show ( Hwang Dong-hyuk) released it it has been a global success. Squid game to is about how there is a sales man who finds people in a subway and plays Ddakji with them and the winner would receive 100,000 dollars and after they receive the money the salesman gives them a card where they can pplay games just like that and win 45.6 billion dollars. The offer sounds enticing the the people would accept but the whole thing was a set up and would later become a blood bath. When the person goes to the place there are men in masks who show them where they will sleep and they get uniforms and take their player pictures. And they will then complete deadly challenges to see who will win.

 

          My personal favorite character is a famous Korean singer named Thanos. He is really fit for the role because of his personality and acting skills, therefore he’s my favorite player. He was acted in other movies and shows before but I have never seen them myself, but all of the movies get high ratings. What really makes me mad the most is the he died in episode 6 in a bathroom fight. He died in the most ridiculous way someone stabbed a fork in his throat and that low key made me very mad and upset because he was such a playful character and I didn’t want to see him die in such a way.

 

The story takes place in South Korea where a salesman finds emplea addicted to gambling and offers them a chance to win 100,000 dollars to a person addicted to gambling they would  take the offer. The whole series is built around economic development where each character gets greedy and will do whatever it takes to win. When the guards announce that the money in the prize pit went down, player 343 is ungrateful and exclaims “ I would get more money for letting a stranger beat the    out of me!” And the frontman took that as a challenge and went undercover as a player 1 . When the mingle game came around ( it’s where you spin on a ecentaly big spinning platform and a machine calls out a number of players and you have to run into a room with that number of players. There are too many or too few players and everyone in there will be eliminated.) Each room needed 3 players and there was four in that room. And unsurprisingly the frontman killed player 343. The way the frontman entered the games was horrible because during the vote either to leave or to stay he just appeared out of nowhere and without him the games would probably stoped because there was a tie between the votes. He ended up revealing himself to everyone in the end which was kind of nice but wasn’t really that important.

 

 

The show is mainly worthwhile but if you don’t like gore or violence and or hate to see your favorite character die in the most ridiculous ways this show isn’t for you. This show will make you cry, laugh, be confused, or ABSOLUTELY HATE THE ENDING. It felt horribly incomplete it ended by the frontman killed Jung be instead of jun bee when they sunk in try to stop the games with the under cover frontman but the frontman couldn’t let them do that and ambushed  them shot the players and captured Jun bee and jun ho and KILLED JUN HO instead of Gi hun which I don’t understand because jung bee was the one who lead the rampage. AND THEN… the show ended there like how K-Rukia says “It was really underwhelming. not really a real ending in my opinion. so disappointing especially when compared to the first season.” I agree to that because it really just felt unfinished and had a horrible ending.

 

Squid game season 2 is a downgrade from the first season but the new characters are kind of good but the original characters were better. But who knows maybe when season 3 comes out it will be better than this season . Season 3 is going to come out on June 27 2025
